WELCOME TO THE ORTHODONTIC PRACTICE OF DR RUDIE SWART
Our practice is situated in Annlin, a beautiful green and leafy suburb which lies 8km north of the Pretoria CBD. The suburb is conveniently situated with easy access to the N1. 1978 – B.Ch.D(Dentistry) – School of Dentistry – University of Pretoria.
1982 – B.Ch.D(Honours) – School of Dentistry – University of Pretoria.
1986 – M.Ch.D(Ortho) – Cum Laude – School of Dentistry – University of Pretoria.
Dr Swart was raised in the central Orange Free State Province of South Africa. He matriculated in 1972 at the Potchefstroom Gymnasium High School. After completing his undergraduate dental degree, he married a Dental School classmate, Louise. They have only one child, Helena, who completed her dental studies during 2007.
Helena is currently an orthodontic registrar at the dental school of the University of Pretoria. Louise, his wife, has been in private practice solely for a number of years after which she joined the orthodontic practice of Dr Swart and became the practice coordinator. His hobbies include photography, archery, collecting Dinky Toys – he has a very large collection of these very scarce and difficult to find toys.
Since Helena, his daughter became a member of the national South African Saddle Horse team and has been a member of this team for a few years. Dr Swart shows also a keen interest in this prestigious sport.

Member of the South African Society of Orthodontists (SASO) since 1987.
Member of the South African Dental Association since 1978.
Member of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Secretary of the South African Society of Orthodontists 1987 – 1990.
Treasurer of the South African Society of Orthodontists 2006 – 2008.
Member of Eastern Tshwane Orthodontic study group (ETOS).
